Individual Sessions

I​ provide therapy on an individual basis to adults at The Work Well Health Centre in Paddington and also via telehealth. My interest areas include: 

 

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Grief and loss

  • Pain management (pelvic, muscular, neurological)

  • Women’s health

  • Chronic illness

  • Coping during treatment for a health condition

  • Adjustment to a new diagnosis

  • Assistance with recovery from illness/injury

  • Disability support

  • Adjustment to life transitions

  • Anger

  • Stress

  • Low self-esteem

  • Communication difficulties.

 

Group Programs and Workshops

​I offer group programs and workshops that are available in a variety of formats (eg. multi-session or 1-day events) for individuals living with endometriosis and persistent pelvic pain.

 

Topics that are covered include:

​

  • Anxiety

  • Stress

  • Depression

  • Sleep hygiene

  • Communication and relationship difficulties

  • Pain and fatigue

  • Self-care strategies, and

  • Managing flare ups.

Referral and Rebate Information

A referral to see a psychologist is only required if you wish to receive a Medicare rebate.

​

You may be able to claim back some or all of the session fee via:

  1. A Mental Health Treatment Plan. This can be obtained from your GP who will confirm your eligibility and entitles you to 10 Medicare-rebated sessions per calendar year,

  2. A Chronic Disease Management Plan. If you have a chronic medical condition, you may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate of up to 5 sessions per calendar year using this plan. For more information, please contact your GP,

  3. Your Private Health Insurance. It is recommended that you check if you are covered for Psychology sessions. Or,

  4. NDIS (plan and self-managed referrals accepted).​

Note: Only one of the above options can be utilised at a time.

I also accept WorkCover Queensland referrals and provide supervision to provisional and registered psychologists, as well as those completing their clinical endorsement program.

​

Appointments are 50 minutes in duration. If you have certain days/times that you prefer, it is suggested that you book multiple appointments in advance. During your initial session, you may wish to confirm with me whether weekly, fortnightly or monthly appointments are advisable.
